It has been a while. So update, spoiler alert, Chris and I are perfectly fine. I'm finally used to his antics, and how he acts. The past month has been rather easy for me to get used to him, in "darker" situations. "Darker" meaning... college finals... BLEH. But he rarely talked too me at all during finals, which I could understand. It helped me get used to not talking to and not seeing him as much. I can't believe it took me so long to get used to these things. I guess I just didn't want to. It's that hard part of every relationship you have, and it's like going uphill. But once you get to the top, it's smooth sailing from there. That's how I act with my relationships, all of them. And this past month, I reached the top of my blocking mountain with Chris. That makes me happy. Of course we will argue every now and then, and blah, blah, but it's easier for me to... I don't know, come back, and not think bad things. So, that's that. :)
Yesterday was my one year anniversary with my wonderful boyfriend, Chris Crosby. We had a lot of fun and had adventures. I got to his house at around 12 or so? And then we talked about the plans of the day. I asked if he wanted to open his presents and he had this cute smile on his face and said "We could do that." So I got my present, which I already knew what it was, a studio quality USB Yeti Blue microphone. I gave him his presents, a box of Dots (more because I knew he liked them, I didn't buy them thinking about our anniversary), a "12 ways to say I Love You" journal (cause I thought it was cute and I bought it months ago... I want one myself, actually...), and a retro NES/SNES portable console. I spent the most money of us, if I add it up. XD
Anyway, he played with it for a while, and I played with my mic for a bit, but not much. Then he told me that he left the pocky that he was going to give me in their new condo in Baton Rouge. I was like, "we could get it! Plus I wanna see the new place!" so... we did. XD
We left his house at like 2:30? Got some Sonic before we left. And we got there at about 4:30 because there was awful traffic... But it was really nice! Unfortunately his sister got the better room with her own bathroom, but I can understand that, especially since she sleeps on the couch... But when mom and sister went to put some things in the condo, they put animal print shower curtains in his bathroom... Please take them DOWN. Awful things, I hate animal print SO MUCH. But yeah, we just looked around, I gawked at all the space, he set up his internet, and we just hung around. Oh and I bothered him about getting a little puppy. He said no way. Mehrrrr... :(
But yeah, when it came to 6:30 we got around to leaving. When we got back, we stopped at his house for a bit and he changed pants and shirt and we went to Angelo Brocato's. It's a famous italian bakery/desert shop on Carrollton in New Orleans. I unfortunately did not enjoy much of the cannoli Chris got for us, but I really loved the coconut macaroon and gelato I had. The gelato is imported from Sicily, Italy. It was all so fresh, it tasted amazing! Chris got two coconut macaroons (one for him, one for me, that sweetheart) and tiramisu gelato. The tiramisu tasted like chocolate, coffee, and whisky. It was interesting but not my "cup of tea". Heheh, get it? Anyway, I got sweet cream and coconut gelato mixed. The sweet cream tasted like pure cake icing. The coconut tasted like fresh cold coconuts. Together it tasted like a Piña Colada. It as really amazing! Next time I go, I have to try the raspberry ice. It looked so good. :)
Finally, Chris took a picture with me outside of the shop, and I love this picture, I do. Then we went home and we were GOING to drink the night away, but it turned out Kirstyn, his sister, had her graduation mass the next day so he couldn't. Which also meant even if I wanted to drink, I couldn't because I wouldn't have been able to spend the night. I accepted it, it's fine. We sat around for the next few hours just doing our normal thing. We watched some videos. Then he was on his computer most of the rest of the time. And the TV was turned on. I fell asleep for a while. Eventually I got up, but I don't remember if we watched more videos or... Anyway, I left at like, 2:30/3am.
It was the best day ever. A day full of happiness and awesomeness. I love him. I hope he doesn't forget to read my love letter. XD
Now, I think I messed up my mic, ALREADY, so I need to play with it some more... I hope it's ok... But yeah, that was yesterday for me. Thanks for reading. :)
